Screenshots of Office 2007

Jensen Harris’ blog has quite a few screenshots of the upcoming Office 2007 user interface. There are also a few screenshots at Microsoft’s website.

I don’t know. I’m not crazy about the design at all. I just find that it looks clunky. It’s not really fair to judge an interface without actually using it but when I look at these screenshots I feel uninspired. What do the rest of you think?

yawn! boring schmoring. It’s like they took a good thing (Apple design) and went into Photoshop and applied the SUCK filter.

I think it looks pretty decent. Better than what Excel and Word currently look like. Apple design is all well and good but Excel for Mac is horrible and Apple doesn’t offer an alternative (yet). As for boring, we are talking office software. I think nothing looks more vanilla than Pages.
