2,083 kilomtres

2,083 km of driving from Toronto to Gaithersburg, Maryland and back — a lot of scenic routes made for some interesting pictures like this. The driving was a breeze, until I got back to Toronto, and remembered what I hate most about this city of 5.3 million people. The bloody traffic!

It took me over an hour to get from Oakville to Toronto at 6 PM last night. Everyone is supposed to be leaving the city after work, not going back into it. There is something to be said for small towns in the country.

Did you find the Darkon gang?

Didn’t find the Darkon warriors. They don’t meet until next week in Baltimore. Oh, so close! Now that would have been something to see.

Holy moly. Your photography is staggering in its incredibleness. I’d never flipped through them all before today, and now it feels like I’ve just stepped out of a gallery and back into the light of day. What an eye you have.

Thanks Jen, glad you like the photos. I added a few more from my trip.

I didn’t get as far south as the Carolina’s but Lissa and I hope to get down to Savannah in September. Maybe we can drop by for a visit.

If you make it as far as Savannah and *don’t* stop by for a visit, I’ll be mortally wounded.

And hey! By September, I’ll have one less quasi-human being living in my house. Or…again…if I don’t, I’ll be mortally wounded. But I digress. :-)

Incredible photos? Incredible post-production effort is what I suspect. Jay is the Barry Bonds of photography - cheating his way to glory.

PP all the way baby.

Oh, grow up Kemp. Ansel Adams never post-processed his images in the darkroom?

How do you post-process composition? Choice of lens? Technique? Photoshop is part of the workflow and can improve a good picture. It can’t make a great picture out of crap.

Send me some of the photos that you took and I’ll prove it to you.

Traffic? What traffic?
