Small Is Essential
37signals is profiled in TIME.
In the article, 37signals president, Jason Fried says “Interruption is the biggest enemy of productivity.” I couldn’t agree more and this is why I prefer to work after 5 PM — I get more work done because my phone isn’t ringing and I receive fewer “urgent” emails.

Wow. This is some serious BS. Interruptions are a part of life - a necessary part of life. Most people factor them into their plans, deal with them, re-focus, and move on.
How do Lissa, Vanessa, and Daniel respond to your work-comes-first philosophy? Or does Daniel’s school now start at 5:00PM? Does Lissa’s job begin at 5:00PM? It seems like interruptions don’t interfere with your ability to Blog between 9:00AM and 5:00PM.
Is this what they teach at your church? Or does the deer only pant for the water in the evenings?
