Things
Cultured Code is working on “the easiest and most fun to use personal To-Do management application” — Things. It looks pretty cool. I wonder how useful it will be when it is released?
Right now I use Backpack from 37signals to stay organized. I’m constantly making To-Do lists to prioritize JAK Media projects and schedule Livebait.tv shoots and editing sessions.
Things will probably cost $19.95 when it gets released whereas my $5/mo for Backpack lets me access my account from any web browser, is easy to share with groups and includes a calendar.
How do the rest of you stay organized?

I use an insane mix of Dashboard stickies and my Moleskine notebook. Extensive lists and critical paths with check-boxes. Very high tech. :-) But somehow it seems to work. Maybe I have a personality that’s already a little too detail-oriented.

Moleskine notebooks are great. I can’t seem to find mine and it is driving me nuts. I might have to spring for another…

So then the big question - WHICH moleskine is your preference. I’m beginning to learn that this is a matter that divides homes and pits friends against each other. I prefer the smaller, pocket sized, lined journal. Used to use the bugger one but tried a small one in Africa and haven’t been able to put then down since.

I prefer the Plain Notebook (Pocket size: 9 x 14 cm) with plain pages so I can make sketches, lists, etc. Next time, I’ll put my name and phone number in the back. Duoh!

Pocket size, full grid is the one true moleskine. All other models are defects who couldn’t make it to the graph paper finish line.

Jay - I empathize with you - losing my moleskine would be heartbreaking. You have my condolences.
Ryan - Ease up on the coffee, man. We can all get along.

Moleskine. But from there onto a Google Doc spreadsheet. I need a way to prioritize, though.
