The IT Crowd on NBC

The other night I watched the season finale of the hilarious British television comedy, The IT Crowd. I’m not sure if the UK’s Channel 4 has plans to do a third season but NBC in the US has “Americanized” the show and will be releasing it midseason!
NBC did this with The Office and has had a lot of success. For their version of The IT Crowd, NBC recruited Richard Ayoade who plays the character of Moss in the original version of The IT Crowd.
I don’t know. I love the British version of the show and think it will be difficult to enjoy and American update. I’ll probably watch just to see more of Richard Ayoade.
Visit NBC for video and images of the new version of The IT Crowd.

The IT Crowd is the best. My wife loves it. The UK Season 2 premiere had her rolling on ground she was laughing so hard. Moss is great, but I also think Roy is great, his endless exasperation is somehow familiar I hope they keep all the subtle geekphernalia on the US version. Not many shows have prop references to the EFF and Coop.

Yes the season 2 premiere had our entire family in hysterics. Not many shows can do that. When Moss appeared behind the counter as a bartender we all lost it. Brilliant show.
In terms of props, I love the old Commodore PET they have in the office. I used to use one of those in high school.

My, that Moss guy looks like you only in ‘geek’.
