Tim Kring admits that season 2 of Heroes has been weak

If you’re a fan of the television show Heroes then you know that the second season has been terrible. Series creator Tim Kring admitted this earlier in the week and has vowed to put the show back on track.

The Dec. 3 episode will has been reworked to act as a season finale. This will give Kring and his writers a chance to start fresh and put the show back on track for the second half of the season two.

Say goodbye to some of the worst television romance in recent history — no more cherry trees and Hiro kissing a Japanese princess. Say goodbye to Claire and her ‘fly’ boyfriend. In an EW.com interview, Kring says, “I don’t think romance is a natural fit for us.”

The pacing has been way too slow and the introduction of some new heroes has been terrible. What happened to the cliff hangers from last year? The show needs to be a little less Love Story and a little more Bourne Ultimatum to win back viewers. Episode 6 was a step in the right direction.

You’ve been reading my mind lately. This season of Heroes is garbage and I am glad the writers strike has mercifully cut it short. There has been so much horrible, cliched dialogue, the mexican wonder twins are pointless, boring characters, Peter as a amnesiac is recycled plot line, ugh. The only glimmer of hope was last week’s big reveal of Adam, which made so much sense, it had real season one flavour.

My brother and his girlfriend had a season one marathon last week, and he couldn’t stop talking about brilliant the show is. Then be used bittorrent for season two and it was like he hit a wall. Tim “I’ve never read a comic book before” Kring better hire back whoever walked after season one if he hopes to recapture the magic.

I think Heroes is in trouble because of a lawsuit filed against tim kring and nbc by two nyc artists, the story is all over the blogs about this lawsuit. Maybe nbc should call these artists to save Heroes, afterall it was their work that made season one a success not tim’s. And i read on another site that because of this lawsuit tim had to write characters out and change the storylines. how else to explain a writer changing a winning formula in season one to a dud formula in season two. The rule is “YOU DON’T FIX OR CHANGE SOMETHING THAT’S WORKING”. IF IT’S NOT BROKE, WHY FIX IT?

Thanks for you comments Ryan. Great feedback as always. I gave a friend a copy of season one to watch and he loved it. Then he started watching season two and it was like, where did the magic go?

I can’t wait to see the next few weeks. It looks like the show has found its groove again.
